Batteries, Starters, Alternators & Electrical
A no-start is exactly when you need someone to come to you. We load-test the battery, test the charging and starting systems and find the real cause, so a new battery isn't dead again next week.
What we handle on-site
- Battery load testing and replacement
- Alternator and charging system testing
- Starter testing and replacement
- Parasitic draw testing (battery keeps dying)
- Battery terminal and cable repair
- Fuses, relays and wiring faults
- Key fob and accessory power issues
- Lighting and electrical accessory faults
Signs it's time to call
- Clicking or slow cranking when you turn the key
- A battery or charging light on the dash
- Dim or flickering lights
- A battery that keeps going dead overnight
Heat is hard on batteries
South Carolina summers shorten battery life. Heat speeds up the chemical wear inside the battery, and the failure often shows up on the first cool morning. A load test tells you how much life is left before it leaves you stranded.
We find the cause, not just the dead part
If a battery died early, we check the alternator output and look for a parasitic draw before we install a new one.
Batteries & electrical: common questions
Can you replace my battery where my car is parked?
Yes. We test the battery, charging system and starter, then replace what failed right there.
Why does my battery keep dying?
Usually one of three causes: a battery near the end of its life, an alternator that isn't charging, or something drawing power with the car off. We test all three.
Do you replace starters and alternators on-site?
On most vehicles, yes. A few designs need a lift; we'll tell you upfront if yours is one of them.
